2012 Silent Auction Sneak Peek – Claire Iannini

The 22nd Annual SCWW Writers’ Conference is almost around the corner.  At least it feels that way to those of us involved and determined to help build your conference experience. The silent auction will meet and peak your anticipation.  Just as important are your donations to our largest fundraiser, where all auction proceeds go to SCWW to defray conference costs.  We can’t keep the costs low without funding, so whether you’re attending the conference in person, or in spirit, please donate today!

The Silent Auction Committee is busy collecting donated books, books, and more books for your bidding and reading pleasure, along with manuscript critiques, pitches, first pages, queries, etc. offered by our talented and very generous group of agents, editors, authors, social media experts, independent publisher, and Friday Intensive presenters – WHEW!  And, of course distinctive baskets are being created and donated by our SCWW chapter groups.

Regardless of this being your first year attending the conference, fifth, fifteenth, or more, there’s still time to secure your spot.  Register now, if you haven’t already.  Although nothing can beat the experience of a one-on-one with a faculty member, it would be a shame to miss out on one of our auction ‘highlights of excitement’ being planned.  Here’s a peek:

Get-A-Way:  A Day Sail on a Sailboat on the Pamlico River, N.C.

So, while attending extraordinary sessions on Friday, or workshops and appointments throughout the weekend, find the time to browse and bid on the many baskets and special items displayed at the silent auction within the Exhibit Hall.  The bidding opens at 9 a.m., Friday, October 19th and does not end until 9:15 a.m. on Sunday, October 21st.

Want to register?  Go to SCWW website – www.myscww.org.  If you have questions, or want to make a donation to the silent auction, please email scwwconference2012@gmail.com.  We’re looking forward to seeing you – browsing and bidding – at the conference.
