Author Biography
Mary writes young-adult fiction, adult fiction, and nonfiction. She has published the award-winning novels "Love and the TSA" and "A Roller Coaster Down," coauthored with Vasant Garcia, and the nonfiction case history, "The Desert Murders: How Junk Science, Witness Contamination, and Arizona Politics Condemned an Innocent Man. " Stories of hers have been published in "Catfish Stew" and "MoonShine Review."
After majoring in creative writing at Barnard College, she earned a master’s degree in English literature from the University of Oregon and a master’s in reading education from Elmira College. She has taught and worked in publications, among other jobs.
Having grown up moving every few years in an Army family, she is now settled in Piedmont, SC.
