Author Biography
Jeanne Malmgren is a Pushcart Prize-nominated author and journalist whose writing appeared in magazines and newspapers nationwide during her 20-year career at the Tampa Bay Times. She is the author of Good Eye, Bad Eye: A Memoir of Trauma and Truth, the searing story of her childhood injury, which Kirkus Reviews called “a fresh, open, and inspiring remembrance.” Jeanne’s work has appeared in Hippocampus, Streetlight, Southern Literary Review, and has been anthologized in two collections of nature writings. She is also a psychotherapist in private practice, specializing in nature-based treatments. She writes and publishes the internationally popular online newsletter, “Rx Nature.” A native of Oconee County, she returned home to her beloved Blue Ridge Mountains 20 years ago.
