A new import to SC from VA, I joined the Writers Group at the Olli at Clemson where Bill Bruehl encouraged members to join SCWA. An educator, I have been in the writing "business" for 30 years. My first publication (Harcourt 1990) was the YA anti-bully novel EAGLEBAIT, which won several awards, including the International Reading Association's "Young Adult Choice." Since then I have published four cozy mysteries (adult) with The Wild Rose Press, an Indie publisher in NY. My books are archived in the Library of Virginia. Currently I have shifted genres to children's lit with Picture Books - looking for an agent or publisher.

Nice to join my fellow scribes!

After working on it for more than two years, Kathleen Fair has released her work of historical fiction entitled Hell Hath No Fury.  Taking place in the early twentieth century and set in an imaginary town in a real location, the story describes the relationships between three people, two women who would probably never be friends and a man, a very handsome man, who was brought to town by a roll of the dice.

The idea for the story came from a court case discovered while the author was doing historical research in Massachusetts.  A few historical nuggets were  turned into a novel through hard work and imagination.

The cover was by the very talented Teresa Jenellen
